These psionic brain-suckers were the scourge of high-level subterranean adventurers. These figures were sold in sets of 3, and each pose had 3 different head variants with different tentacle positions.
Pose 1, variant A. This Illithid is reaching forwards with his right hand, with his left held near his waist clutching a short chain connected to a cloth purse. He wears long robes with a high, stiff collar and ornate cuffs, and 2 short sashes hang from the front of his belt. This variant has 4 medium-length tentacles spread evenly around his face, with connecting webs visible between them.
Pose 1, variant B. This variant has a narrow head and 4 long tentacles hanging downwards, with connecting webs just visible.
Pose 1, variant C. This variant has 4 long tentacles spread running along the length of his right arm, and no connecting webs visible between them.
Pose 2, variant A. This Mind Flayer holds a skull in his right hand, and appears to be beckoning with his outreached left. He wears long robes with a high, stiff collar and plain cuffs, an ornate scalloped belt, and a backplate bearing a raised illithid skull design. This variant has 4 medium-length tentacles spread evenly around his face, with connecting webs visible between them.
Pose 2, variant B. This variant has 4 long tentacles running along the length of his left arm, with connecting webs barely visible between them.
Pose 2, variant C. This variant has a narrow head with 4 long tentacles hanging straight downwards, with connecting webs just visible between them.
Pose 3, variant A. This Mind Flayer holds his right hand by his chest and his left partly extended forwards. He wears a decorated tunic with ornate epaulets and lower hem, over long robes with a high, stiff collar and plain cuffs, and a belt with a repeated 'screaming head' design. This variant has 4 long tentacles running along the left arm, with connecting webs just visible between them.
Pose 3, variant B. This variant has 4 medium-length tentacles hanging downwards but upturned at the ends, with connecting webs just visible between them.
Pose 3, variant C. This variant has 4 short tentacles hanging downwards but upturned at the ends and slightly spread apart, with connecting webs visible between them.
